Lap joint

Corner joint

•Two pieces are joined to form a right angle.

•Can be an open joint, partially open joint, or a closed joint.

•An open corner uses a fillet weld.

•Two pieces are joined together to form a T- shape.

•Uses a fillet weld.

Edge joint

•Two pieces are joined at the edges.
